Dental Nurse required – London
Dental Nurse:
Job Description:
Assist the dentist / specialist chair-side in the delivery of dental treatment.
Prepare clinical treatment rooms (surgeries) ready for dental treatment
sterilising instruments and moving equipment into place
Ensure all surgeries are adequately stocked and maintain stock logs and rotation principals
Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records
Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the performance of more complicated surgical procedures
Provide support to dentists, surgeons and staff as needed
Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment
Perform instrument decontamination as per current guidance
Person specification:
Empathetic and caring approach to patient care
You should have a professional, caring, friendly confident approach to work, colleagues and patients. It’s important to be understanding, as you could be dealing with people who might be very nervous or in a lot of pain.
A personal interest in teeth, dentistry or oral hygiene, and a flexible personality, as well as being able to adapt to unexpected change in the daily diary.
Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office
Knowledge of soe exact beneficial (training can be provided)
Qualifications:
Dental Nurses must be either;
Qualified and registered with General Dental Council or
Trainee Dental Nurses must be on an accredited and recognised dental nursing course working towards qualification.
