Dental Nurse – Southend Essex
Job Description:
Assist the dentist / specialist chair-side in the delivery of dental treatment.
Provide support to dentists, surgeons and staff as needed
Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records (as directed by the treating clinician)
Prepare clinical treatment rooms (surgeries) for dental treatment
Decontaminate and sterilise instruments, following all current infection control industry standards and company policy
Ensure all surgeries are adequately stocked and maintain stock logs and rotation principals
Perform routine dental surgery cleaning, set up and set down procedures

An empathetic and caring approach to patient care
Excellent customer service and chair-side manner
You should have a professional, caring, friendly confident approach to work, colleagues and patients.
A personal interest in dentistry
Be flexible and able to adapt to unexpected change e.g. in treatment procedure or diary changes
Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments
Strong knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office
Knowledge of SOE Exact beneficial (training can be provided)
Qualifications:
Dental Nurses must be either;
Qualified and registered with General Dental Council or
Trainee Dental Nurses must be on an accredited and recognised dental nursing course working towards qualification.
Mon-Saturday (flexible)
Can be either- registered with the GDC or -currently on a recognised Dental Nurse
